There are currently 4 puppies looking for homes, 2 boys and 2 girls. The parents are British made wolf-lookalike dogs with no actual wolf content. They are not registered with any particular society but are both healthy and stunning in their own right. The lighter coloured, longer-haired one is the male. They have a great temperament, are friendly and affectionate but these types of dogs can suffer from separation anxiety and should not be left on their own for prolonged periods of time. They are also highly intelligent and can easily be trained in a particular discipline but require a firm hand and some basic training in order to be well-mannered in a home environment. These are energetic dogs and require a minimum of 2 hours exercise per day. It is also advisable that they have access to a garden with a 6ft fence. Failure to exercise/entertain them adequately may result in destructive behaviour. As the parents are each slightly different mixes, with different strengths and personalities, the puppies also display their own unique qualities. If you let us know a bit about your lifestyle, we can probably suggest the best match. *We have given the puppies names so we can refer to them without confusion but these can be changed, as they are still too young to remember them. Male 1, Odin: Odin is very cuddly and placid but also quite stubborn. He can be a bit of a bully in the pack and picky with his food. He will be light coloured and long-haired like his dad and require a frequent brush. Male 2, Thor: Thor loves to explore but sometimes gets scared when he encounters new things. He is affectionate and always interested in everything that goes on and would like an owner that can spend time with him and reassure him. He will have a dark, silky coat and markings just like his mum. Female 1, Freya. Freya is always alert and the first to greet you when you enter a room. She loves people and playing ball but hates being ignored and is very vocal about it. She will look almost identical to her dad, with long hair. Female 2, Skadi. Skadi is courageous and spirited. First born, she sees new experiences as a challenge and meets them head-on. She is very intelligent and will need an owner with a firm hand. She has striking face marking and cool, grey colouring. The puppies all like to play and have been exposed to as many sights and sounds of everyday live as we could think of. They have been wormed and will have had their first injection by the time they are ready to leave at 8 weeks (second to be done at 10 weeks). We currently feed our dogs and the puppies on a raw diet and believe this is the best option. If you are not familiar with what this entails, we are happy to provide some guidance. The puppies should be ready to leave from the 23rd Jan, provided they are fully weaned. We will accept visitors before that date to see the puppies. If you have any questions please get in touch, more information and images can be made available on request.
